The Carbon-Ti X-Rotor Aero 160 Center Lock is a high-performance disc brake rotor developed for applications where aerodynamics and low weight are particularly important. The Center Lock version has been developed to allow the rotor to be installed on hubs using this mounting standard, thanks to the dedicated adapter designed by Carbon-Ti.

🌬️ Aerodynamic Design

The X-Rotor Aero has been developed with the aim of reducing aerodynamic drag and improving airflow penetration at high speeds.

The structural carbon fibre body has been redesigned compared with the X-Rotor SteelCarbon 3 and optimised through wind tunnel testing, with particular attention to reducing drag.

🛑 Steel Braking Track

The steel braking track, shared with the solution used on the X-Rotor SteelCarbon 3, is designed to provide high braking performance and effective cooling.

The combination of a steel braking track and carbon fibre structure allows Carbon-Ti to create a particularly lightweight rotor while maintaining the characteristics required for high-performance use.

🔩 Titanium Components

The braking track is attached to the central body using exclusive Grade 5 titanium rivets, selected for their low weight, strength and reliability.

The fixing washers are also made from Grade 5 titanium, while the dedicated Center Lock adapter is made from Ergal.

⚙️ Center Lock Mounting System

The X-Rotor Aero 160 Center Lock is designed for the Center Lock mounting standard. The dedicated adapter developed by Carbon-Ti allows the rotor to be installed on compatible hubs using this system.

The adapter supplied with the rotor also features a laser-engraved titanium protective plate, designed to fit precisely into the shape of the carbon fibre body.

The rotor features a profile with rounded edges, precisely CNC-machined to improve safety and comply with the directives of the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI).

🏁 Developed for High-Speed Racing

The X-Rotor Aero was developed to meet the requirements of UAE Team Emirates, with particular attention to time trials and road races characterised by extremely high average speeds.

The rotor is also particularly interesting for triathlon competitions, where aerodynamic efficiency is especially important.

The Carbon-Ti X-Rotor Aero 160 Center Lock is not compatible with Campagnolo and Fulcrum AFS systems.
