Maxxis Rekon Race 29x2.35

The Maxxis Rekon Race is an MTB tire developed for Cross Country riding and racing. Its semi-slick tread features a particularly low profile, designed to promote efficient rolling on dry XC trails and short track courses.

The 29x2.35 version features a 120 TPI casing and Dual compound. EXO sidewall protection helps improve resistance to cuts and abrasions, while Tubeless Ready (TR) technology allows the tire to be used with a compatible tubeless system.

Semi-Slick XC Tread

The Rekon Race tread is derived from the Rekon family but uses lower and more closely spaced knobs to prioritize rolling speed.

Maxxis recommends it particularly for rear-wheel use, paired with a more aggressive front tire. It can also be used front and rear for XC short track racing.

EXO Protection and Tubeless Ready Technology

EXO technology uses a strong yet flexible material integrated into the tire sidewalls to improve protection against cuts and abrasions while maintaining the casing's riding characteristics.

The TR version is Tubeless Ready, completing a configuration designed for sport and competitive mountain biking.
