The Magene L508 is an advanced radar tail light that combines rear lighting and radar technology to provide greater awareness of approaching traffic during cycling.
Its integrated radar uses millimetre-wave signals to detect approaching vehicles from behind at distances of up to 140 metres, including when riding through curves. Alerts can be displayed on compatible bike computers, watches and other devices supporting the ANT+ radar protocol.
The Magene L508 uses an integrated radar with a 40° horizontal detection angle to detect approaching vehicles from up to 140 metres away.
The system can detect vehicles with a relative speed between 10 and 120 km/h and can identify up to eight approaching vehicles simultaneously.
Following the firmware update, the L508 offers 7 different lighting modes: steady, flashing, pulse, peloton, quick flash, rotation and radar-only mode.
The lighting modes can be changed directly from the light and selected settings can also be customised through the Magene Utility app.
The light features a high-precision acceleration sensor that detects deceleration and automatically activates a high-intensity lighting mode for 3 seconds.
The system is designed to distinguish braking from small impacts and vibrations, helping to reduce false activations.
