Trek Fuel+ MX 9.8 XT Gen 2: built for demanding trails

The Trek Fuel+ MX 9.8 XT Gen 2 is a full-suspension e-MTB designed for riders who want to tackle technical terrain with confidence, control and smooth electric assistance.

Its OCLV Mountain Carbon frame integrates the TQ HPR60 drive system and a 580 Wh battery, while the Fox Factory suspension setup delivers 160 mm of front travel and 150 mm at the rear. The result is a capable trail platform designed around control, traction and versatility.

TQ HPR60 motor with 60 Nm of torque

At the heart of the Fuel+ MX 9.8 XT is the TQ HPR60 motor, delivering 60 Nm of torque. Its assistance is designed to feel smooth and natural, providing extra support when climbing or when the trail demands more from your legs.

The motor has a 250 W nominal continuous power output and a 350 W peak power output, with assistance up to 25 km/h in accordance with the European e-bike regulations.

Integrated 580 Wh TQ battery

The 580 Wh TQ battery provides the energy needed for demanding mountain bike rides with significant elevation gain and long sections of trail.

It is removable and integrated into the carbon frame, helping maintain the clean lines of the Fuel+ platform while making battery access more practical.

OCLV Mountain Carbon frame

The OCLV Mountain Carbon frame is one of the defining features of the Fuel+ MX 9.8 XT Gen 2. The frame integrates internal cable routing, the removable battery and several solutions designed to adapt the bike's behaviour to different riding preferences.

The platform features an adjustable headset angle and an adjustable suspension leverage ratio. Interchangeable alloy suspension links and a replaceable lower shock mount provide additional configuration possibilities.

The ABP (Active Braking Pivot) suspension system is also part of the platform, while dedicated frame protection helps protect the bike during trail use.
