Scott Scale 200: a first real mountain bike

The Scott Scale 200 is a junior bike with 20" wheels, designed for young riders with an indicative height of 115 to 125 cm.

It is designed to accompany children during their first cycling experiences, with a configuration suitable for everyday riding as well as dirt roads and easy off-road trails.

6061 aluminum frame

The KIDS20 Disc 6061 aluminum frame features specific tubing and integrated mounts for the disc brake system.

The construction is designed to provide a durable and easy-to-handle bike, while keeping the overall weight of the Scale 200 at approximately 8.8 kg.

Rigid fork and 20" wheels

The Scale 200 uses a KIDS20 AL-6061 rigid aluminum fork. It is therefore not equipped with a suspension fork and does not have suspension travel.

The 20" wheels are paired with Kenda Booster 20x2.20" tires with a 30 TPI casing, a configuration suited to the intended use of this junior bike.

Shimano 7-speed drivetrain

The drivetrain uses a Shimano Tourney RD-TY300 7-speed rear derailleur with a Shimano RevoShift SL-RV300-7R shifter.

The SunRace CSM40 11-34T cassette provides a useful range for riding on both flatter sections and climbs, while the Prowheel crankset uses a 28-tooth chainring with chain guard.

Tektro hydraulic disc brakes

The Scale 200 is equipped with Tektro HD-M276 hydraulic disc brakes and 160 mm rotors front and rear.

The Tektro levers are designed for junior use and feature reach adjustment to better suit smaller hands.

Child-specific components

The Scale 200 is completed with components developed around the proportions of a junior bike, including a 540 mm Leadtec handlebar, Syncros Kids grips, Leadtec stem and a Syncros KIDS III saddle with a 27.2 mm seatpost.

The bike also includes kids' pedals with reflectors and a kickstand, so these accessories do not need to be purchased separately before the first ride.
