Indoor training does not have to mean giving up the sensations of riding outdoors. The Tacx NEO 3M is designed to combine the precision of a high-end direct-drive smart trainer with an exceptionally realistic riding experience.

The trainer uses NEO technology and a virtual flywheel to control resistance dynamically. It also features integrated Motion Plates, allowing the bike to move naturally in multiple directions while riding.

Integrated Motion Plates

One of the defining features of the NEO 3M is its integrated Motion Plates. The plates allow multidirectional movement of the bicycle, creating a more natural feeling similar to the movement experienced during outdoor riding.

The system can be activated or deactivated according to your preference, allowing you to choose between a more dynamic riding sensation and a more stable platform depending on the workout.

Road Feel: experience different surfaces

The Tacx NEO virtual flywheel can simulate the sensation of riding across different surfaces. Depending on the workout, the trainer can reproduce sensations associated with surfaces such as gravel and cobblestones, making indoor training more varied and immersive.

Rather than simply increasing or reducing resistance, the trainer changes the riding sensation to reproduce different road surfaces.

Gradient simulation up to 25%

The NEO 3M can simulate gradients of up to 25%, allowing you to tackle extremely demanding virtual climbs.

The resistance is automatically adjusted according to the gradient of the route or the instructions provided by the compatible training application. Descent simulation is also available to create a more realistic experience on virtual routes.

Up to 2,200 W for demanding workouts

With a maximum power output of 2,200 watts, the NEO 3M is designed to handle high-intensity sessions and explosive sprint efforts.

Maximum torque reaches 88 Nm, while the resistance system can provide up to 260 N of braking force.

Power measurement without calibration

One of the advantages of the NEO system is its direct measurement of training data. The NEO 3M measures power, speed and cadence, with Garmin specifying power accuracy of up to 1%.

The trainer does not require the traditional calibration procedure before training, allowing you to focus on the workout rather than preliminary calibration.

ERG Mode and Race Mode

NEO 3M supports ERG Mode, which is useful for structured workouts where the trainer automatically adjusts resistance to maintain the selected power target.

Race Mode is also available, designed to manage rapid resistance changes during more dynamic training sessions and virtual racing.

Connectivity for your indoor training ecosystem

The trainer communicates via Bluetooth Smart and ANT+ and can be controlled through compatible smartphones, tablets, computers, cycling computers and smartwatches.

It is also compatible with the Tacx Smart Network Adapter for Ethernet/Wi-Fi connectivity.

Pre-installed cassette and compatibility

This version of the Tacx NEO 3M comes with a pre-installed SHIMANO/SRAM 11-speed cassette, making setup with a compatible bike easier.

The trainer supports SHIMANO/SRAM 9-11-speed cassettes, as well as Campagnolo, SRAM XDR 12-speed and Shimano 12-speed Hyperglide+ configurations with the appropriate compatible setup.

Compatibility with different axle standards

NEO 3M supports bikes using:

The included adapters allow the trainer to be configured for the main compatible axle standards specified by Garmin.
