Giant TCR Advanced 1 KOM: race performance, efficiency and control
The Giant TCR Advanced 1 KOM is a carbon road bike designed for riders who want high performance, responsive acceleration and precise handling. The TCR platform combines a lightweight, stiff frame with integrated aerodynamic features and carefully selected components engineered to work together as a complete system.
It is built for climbs, accelerations, fast corners and long days in the saddle, delivering a direct response to pedalling input. The Shimano 105 Di2 electronic drivetrain completes the package with precise shifting and intuitive controls.
Advanced-Grade Composite frame
The frame uses Advanced-Grade Composite carbon, developed by Giant to balance stiffness, weight and ride quality. Giant's Modified Monocoque Construction process involves assembling and moulding the front triangle as a single structure before joining it to the rear triangle.
The Compact Road design, with its sloping top tube, helps reduce weight and create a responsive frame platform. Multiple frame sizes are available to accommodate different riders. The frame is designed for disc brakes and uses a 12 x 142 mm rear thru-axle.
Integrated aerodynamics and internal cable routing
The tube profiles have been developed using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) analysis and wind-tunnel testing. The truncated elliptical shapes are designed to reduce aerodynamic drag compared with conventional profiles, helping improve efficiency at higher speeds.
The cockpit features the Giant Contact AeroLight stem with integrated cable routing for a clean appearance and tidy component integration. The system is designed to combine aerodynamic performance with practical adjustment and maintenance.
Composite fork and precise handling
The Advanced-Grade Composite fork features an aerodynamic design and a structure developed for stiffness and precise handling. The full-composite OverDrive steerer and 12 x 100 mm front thru-axle complete the disc-brake configuration.
Shimano 105 Di2: 12-speed electronic shifting
The Shimano 105 Di2 drivetrain delivers precise, consistent electronic shifting, even under load. The 50/34-tooth double chainring setup, paired with an 11-36-tooth 12-speed cassette, offers a versatile gear range for maintaining speed on flatter sections and tackling demanding climbs.
Shimano 105 Di2 controls integrate shifting and hydraulic braking. The disc brakes use Giant MPH rotors measuring 160 mm at the front and 140 mm at the rear, providing controlled braking across a range of riding conditions.
Wheels and tyres for versatile road riding
The TCR Advanced 1 KOM is equipped with Giant P-R2 rims, with a 36 mm profile at both the front and rear. The wheel system is completed by 12 mm thru-axle hubs and stainless steel spokes.
The Giant Gavia Course 1 tyres are tubeless-ready and feature folding beads. The frame and fork support tyres up to 33 mm wide, allowing riders to consider wider options for improved comfort and control on rougher road surfaces, within the manufacturer's compatibility limits.
Variant seatpost: low weight and comfort
The Giant Variant composite seatpost is designed to balance weight, aerodynamic performance and the ability to absorb road vibrations. Its -5/+15 mm offset adjustment allows the saddle position to be adapted to individual riding preferences.
The Giant Contact SL handlebar, Giant Approach saddle and Contact AeroLight stem complete a performance-focused setup, with component dimensions selected according to frame size.
