The Specialized Tarmac SL7 Comp 2025 brings together the aerodynamic development and race-oriented design of the Tarmac SL7 platform with the electronic Shimano 105 Di2 groupset. The result is a carbon road bike designed to deliver speed while maintaining a balanced and controlled ride across different types of road riding.
From the FACT 9r Carbon frame to the integrated cockpit and clean internal cable routing, every element is designed around an efficient and streamlined setup.
The Tarmac SL7 FACT 9r Carbon frame uses Specialized's Rider-First Engineered™ approach, with the frame developed to provide consistent handling characteristics across the different frame sizes.
The frame also features Win Tunnel Engineered development, clean internal cable routing, a threaded bottom bracket and flat-mount disc brake compatibility. The 12x142 mm rear thru-axle and 12x100 mm front thru-axle provide a solid platform for the wheel and braking systems.
The Tarmac SL7 platform was developed with aerodynamics as an important part of its overall design. The integrated cockpit and internal cable routing help keep the front end clean, while the frame geometry is designed to combine aerodynamic efficiency with precise handling.
Specialized also developed the Tarmac using a balanced approach between front and rear ride characteristics, making the bike suitable for fast rides as well as longer days in the saddle.
The Shimano 105 Di2 groupset brings electronic 12-speed shifting to the Tarmac SL7 Comp. The setup includes Shimano 105 Di2 R7170 shifters, a braze-on front derailleur and a Shimano 105 Di2 rear derailleur.
The drivetrain uses a 52/36T crankset together with an 11-34T 12-speed cassette, providing a wide range of gears for both faster sections and more demanding climbs.
The bike is equipped with Shimano 105 hydraulic disc brakes, with a 160 mm rotor at the front and a 140 mm rotor at the rear.
The hydraulic disc brake system provides controlled braking performance while maintaining the clean integration of the Tarmac's flat-mount frame and fork design.
The DT Swiss R470 wheelset features a 20 mm internal rim width and a tubeless-ready construction. The wheels use 24 spokes and Specialized full sealed-bearing thru-axle hubs with Center Lock disc compatibility.
The bike is fitted with Specialized Turbo Pro 700x26 tyres, offering a road-focused setup ready for everyday training and faster rides.
The front end combines the Tarmac integrated stem with the Specialized Shallow Drop 6061 handlebar. The 6-degree stem and internal cable routing contribute to the clean appearance of the Tarmac SL7 platform.
The handlebar features a 31.8 mm clamp, with a 70 mm reach and 125 mm drop. The cockpit is finished with Supacaz Super Sticky Kush bar tape.
The bike is equipped with a Body Geometry Power Sport saddle with steel rails and a 2021 Tarmac FACT Carbon seatpost with 20 mm offset.
The integrated Tarmac seatpost collar completes the clean frame design while keeping the seatpost securely positioned within the frame.
